Growth sustained by contract catering
Barcelona, 12/03/26
Serunion ended the 2025 financial year with a turnover of €682M, representing 12.8% growth over the previous year.
As the leader in contract catering in Spain and a subsidiary of the French Elior Group, the company combines organic growth in its core business with the expansion of integrated services for companies and institutions. Contract catering remains the group’s primary driver, generating €600M in revenue, while the facility management division (including cleaning and operational support) reached €82M following the integration of Grupo Alarcón.
All vertical divisions recorded progress. Serunion B&I, focused on corporate clients, led growth at 15.2%, followed by Health (+5.1%), Education (+4.7%), and Social (+2.3%). The company currently serves nearly 500,000 daily meals across more than 3,100 centers, including a wide range of ready-to-eat meals tailored to each sector, and manages facility services in an additional 2,500 locations.
A broad and stable client portfolio
The company maintains a client retention rate exceeding 95%, an indicator reflecting operational stability in long-term contracts with public institutions and cultural facilities.
According to management, this level of loyalty is due to consistent service delivery and operational proximity. Key contracts signed during 2025 include integrated services at the Los Arcos del Mar Menor University Hospital and gastronomic management at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona through its premium brand, Singularis.
With over 28,000 professionals and a network of 15 central kitchens and 8 warehouses, Serunion covers operations throughout Spain. This structure ensures the capacity to respond to large-scale corporate, educational, and healthcare projects.
Company boosts premium catering
Serunion has reinforced its positioning in the high-end segment with the acquisition of Cobos Catering Madrid in early 2026.
The Madrid-based firm, specializing in corporate events and congresses, generates approximately €2M in annual turnover. This operation is part of the growth strategy for Singularis, which already manages iconic venues such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu or the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. Antoni Llorens, President and CEO, highlights that the acquisition consolidates the company’s position in a strategic segment while continuing to invest in digitalization and AI to develop personalized diets.
